Critical perspective on the role of grammar for communication

This chapter builds a CTET Paper 2 ready view of grammar as a meaning-making resource for Classes VI-VIII, not as isolated rule drilling. It contrasts traditional, communicative and critical perspectives; clarifies Focus on Form versus Focus on Forms; links NCF 2005, NEP 2020 and NCF-SE 2023 to classroom practice; and trains aspirants to spot exam traps that treat correctness as the only goal of language teaching.
